About us
We are Mª Carmen and Felipe, a couple who since April 2012 have put their whole heart into one project: Restaurante El Olivillo. A place where the cuisine of La Alpujarra is truly lived.
It was born from the union of two villages, Fondón and Laujar de Andarax, and from something harder to find: the desire to share what is ours. We don't offer just any menu, but locally sourced, seasonal produce treated with the care it deserves.
Mª Carmen is the soul of the kitchen. She is the one behind most of the dishes, with that way of cooking that can only be learned by living the land and loving it.
Felipe makes sure every visit is a great experience, both at the table and at the bar, and also takes the honour of preparing some of the most traditional dishes of the house.
